Hello!Comprehensive Psychological & Neuropsychological Testing: Discover the Answers You’ve Been Searching For
Are you or your child struggling with unexplained challenges at school, work, or in daily life? Perhaps you are noticing patterns of unfocused energy, emotional roadblocks, learning hurdles, or social disconnects, and you are tired of guessing what is wrong.
You don’t have to navigate this uncertainty alone.
As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Amy Thomas specializes in comprehensive psychological testing designed to cut through the confusion. Testing is not about labeling; it is about clarity, validation, and empowerment. By measuring exactly how your or your child’s unique brain processes the world, we can pinpoint the precise root causes of your struggles and build a concrete, science-backed roadmap to success.
Our Streamlined, 3-Step Testing Process
We have designed our evaluation process to be thorough, comfortable, and highly collaborative. We break the journey down into three distinct phases:
Step 1: The Intake & Clinical Interview (60 Minutes)
What to expect: This is our deep-dive session. We will sit down together to gather a comprehensive personal, developmental, and academic/professional history, and clearly define the questions you want answered.
For Children: To ensure a focused and sensitive clinical discussion, this first appointment is for parents/guardians only. We want to discuss your concerns openly and freely before your child begins the testing process.
Step 2: The Testing Day (2 to 8 Hours)
What to expect: This is the active evaluation phase. Because every brain is different, the length of this appointment varies depending on the specific questions we are answering (ranging from ADHD and learning differences to complex emotional or cognitive profiles).
The Experience: We prioritize comfort and focus. For longer testing sessions, we build in plenty of breaks, snacks, and movement to ensure we get the most accurate, high-quality data possible without causing fatigue.
Step 3: The Feedback & Roadmap Session (60 Minutes)
What to expect: This is where everything comes together. We will meet to review the results in clear, everyday language—no confusing clinical jargon. You will receive a comprehensive, written diagnostic report detailing exactly how your or your child’s mind works.
For Children: To allow for an open, adult-level discussion of the clinical findings, diagnoses, and academic recommendations, this final appointment is also for parents/guardians only.
The Outcome: We will walk through highly personalized, actionable recommendations for school accommodations, workplace adjustments, therapy, and daily life. You will leave this session with a clear, confident plan for the future.
